The Seven Courts

Welcome to The Seven Courts

I’m excited to share my current manuscript with you!

Novel Synopsis

When rumors of an ancient weapon resurfacing in the north sweep across the continent, a thousand-year peace is put in jeopardy. The world needs heroes; it’s about to be disappointed.

Reinvoking a quest of old, the Oracle summons one champion from each of the Seven Courts to take part in an unprecedented journey:

  • A disgraced warrior turned contract killer
  • A reckless bard
  • A sanctimonious soldier
  • A prince desperate to escape the throne
  • A mage unable to control her powers
  • A convicted criminal who narrowly slipped the noose
  • And a seer plagued by false visions

Desperate to escape the terrible circumstances of their own lives, the seven strangers answer the Oracle’s call only to find themselves locked into a magical contract with one binding clause: steal an ancient artifact to prevent the coming war, or face execution.

The cost of failure being their lives, survival is paramount. Saving the world is an added bonus. Forming an unlikely partnership, the crew rushes to pull off an impossible heist—fighting monsters, hiding dangerous secrets, and committing arson, all while becoming something worse than allies: family.

But in a world built on prophecy, free will is only an illusion.

Writing With Accessibility In Mind
  • As a underrepresented author, I believe accessibility in literature is of the utmost importance.
  • To me, writing accessibly is all about diverse representation and a more commercially-aligned writing style that is easily understood and can resonate with a wide audience.
  • With this in mind, The Seven Courts combines the intricate world building of adult fantasy works with a character-driven plot, diverse ensemble cast, and an easily digestible writing style that couples commercial and literary prose.
