About Me

When I was a child, I hated reading.

I know…not the most common way to start an author’s bio page, but it’s true!

Bored out of my mind in second-grade detention, I only fell in love with reading after dramatically barrel rolling my way through the stacks and snatching The Lightning Thief from the “New & Notable” shelf. Enamored with the cover, I never could have predicted the impact the book would have on me. While Percy Jackson was a demigod (a trait I unfortunately did not share), he also had ADHD, Dyslexia, and a nose for trouble—just like me.

At a time when I felt like no one had my back, seeing myself in a character changed my life. Suddenly, someone understood me. It was as if all the little fragmented pieces of my life fell into place—I had an advocate, a role model, and a friend. In later years, queer characters delivered a similar catharsis—their stories letting me know that it was okay to exist.

As an author, it is my mission to write and publish accessible stories for the underrepresented: paying homage to my own Romani heritage, highlighting neurodivergent, queer, disabled, and BIPOC voices, and creating heroes whose strengths are reflected in all the complexities of humanity.

When not scribbling away, I spend my free time playing music, (lovingly) annoying my friends, and ceaselessly chasing after my next adventure.
